The beautiful sun ray of Kenyan music Habida has a new song out, it is lovely, catchy and I think the perfect song for the ladies looking for a perfect psyche up after going through a heart break.

Why ladies you may ask, well it’s the perfect girl song. Okay away from my chauvinism, here is actually a good song put well together and delivered with minimum fuss.

I say minimum fuss because everything about the song comes a bit easy and that is a complement to the smooth flow of the song from the intro to the climaxing end. The intro starts slowly setting the mood building the crescendo to a steady beat and for a moment there, I thought I was listening to Coldplay’s Paradise. The harmonics on this song are perfect, and that is what got to me making the song memorable even for someone not sold to the lyrics. Do not get me wrong, as simplistic as the lyrics are their redeeming quality is the hook and the reason I have branded it a girl’s song ‘Now I keep my chin up high put my heels on and keep on walking’

Habida really does not push to the high notes nor does the song bear effort hallmarks to push from the comfort zones. A simple ladies’ deuces song yet the conviction in her voice and the arrangement is strong enough to see the song through and deliver on quite a promising song.
