Shocking Revelations: GANG RAPISTS OF DANDORA

A 23 year old Indian woman whose gang-rape aboard a bus on December 16 in New Delhi spawned mass protests died 13 days later in a Singapore hospital. Around the same time a young girl is Dandora went through the same. She was beaten and gang raped by so many men she lost count after losing consciousness.

The only difference between her story and the Indian girl who was nick named ‘India’s daughter’ is that Glady’s is from Dandora and we are too busy for politics and other things while a generation is being wiped out in Dandora.

Her story is just one among many girls who have fallen victim to gangs that are made up of boys aged between 13 and 17. They are ruthless and strike at will.

The story of ‘Gang Rapists in Dandora’ is more that a story, its a wake up call, its the reality of a generation that has been ignored and now turning into a monster that we will not be able to control or kill if the status quo remains.

Monday’s story is just a glimpse into an extreme world of survival where even the local administration is overwhelmed but not willing to admit ‘Gang rape’ has becomes a crisis.

Nairobi Women’s hospital reports a rise in gang rape in Kenya. What are the new trends? More cases of Gender Based Violence are reported at GVRC units in the slums. It’s more than a story, it’s a call for action.
