Photo Of The day: Baby Ian Mugoya All Blinged Up!

I met Ian Mugoya on Friday. He is surprisingly very down to Earth! He was equally surprised how down to Earth I am -literally. I’m not as tall as people think I am.

But away from that, I complimented him on his fluent mastery of the language of haute couture. That translates to me simply complimenting him on always looking fresh. But he wasn’t always as suave and dapper as you may think. He, just like Baba Ghafla, myself and all our friends went through the hiphop/basketball influenced urban street fashion.

I’m talking headbands, And1 shoes, durags, Iversons, bling (back when it was called bling-bling) long white shirts and basketball jerseys.

But enough talk. whoever thought this…
