Photo Of The Day: Dennis Itumbi And Pierra Makena Back In The Day.
Would you have guessed that these two know each other? Well see the picture of the day below, it was taken way way back when they were in a school play together.

Many moons ago, when were all young and gullible, we used to go to ICC West (Frontrunners) located along Mombasa Road. The two ‘culprits’ Dennis and Pierra were still students at Kenya Institue Of Mass Communication, that how I first came in contact with them. The two went ahead to carve a niche for themselves in the Kenyan Landscape. Pierra acted as Jean Joyce in Tahidi High. Among other things, she headed the Ogopa Deejays branch in Namibia that was responsible for giving you Gal Level. She also works for Scan Group as well as being a part of an all female outfit called The Sheriffs! Girl is busy busy busy!

According to a story carried by The Star, she is soon releasing a reality Tv show that will showcase Africa through her eyes. The details are scanty but when I do get a hold of her I will write about it here. According to Actors.co.ke, “Pierra has many feathers to her hat as she was the Marketing Manager of One F.M Kenya. She also dabbled as a presenter. As of last year, she was about to pursue a Masters in Mass Communication at the University of Nairobi.

Her range of cinematography includes soaps such as Kenyan TV soap show: Kisulisuli, Citizen Television’s ever popular: Tahidi High and M-Net’s Changes. Some of the feature and full length films she has acted in include: Cry of the innocent, Aziz, Greencard, and Enough is Enough. In her free time, Pierra enjoys horse riding and dancing. Makena is also the face of Kenya’s road safety awareness campaign which ensures that word goes out on the dangers of irresponsible road use like drunk driving and insensitivity to other motorists. She was feted for that by the Association of Kenyan Insurers, read about that here.

Dennis Itumbi needs no introduction. Ghafla has done countless articles on him. Dennis runs his own eponymous website, and describes it this way “This is where you get FACTS, FIRST and FAST.” He also describes himself as an International Journalist who owns a group of County newspapers and does political, business and social media Consultancy. Read more about him here.

Not new to controversy, he was accused of hacking the IEBC website. He was however exonerated, read about that here. He was then accused of hate speech by NCIC. Read about that here! Fellow writer Jeff did a two part series about his arduous journey to success. Read the second part of his success story here.
Apart from working with Team Uhuru, he has worked with UNESCO as their mobile journalism platform consultant, as well as Voice Of America and Journalism.co.za as a journalism blogger. Quite a resume this man has! And no, Dennis does not own The Daily post, he vehemently denied that. Read about that here.
