Julie Gichuru Moves To K24. Unveiling Today

So after Julie Gichuru’s surprise exit last week from Citizen TV, we can now confirm to you that as many of you suspected, she was indeed off to K24. 

 K24, the new media powerhouse in the land, has been on a hiring spree after it’s owner recently became elected president of Kenya. Here is a full list of those they have poached in the past couple of weeks. Julie Gichuru is now the icing on the cake. To tempt her away from Citizen was no easy feat. Julie had to be coaxed with an seven figure monthly salary. Ballpark figures reaching us say that it is close to 2 million shillings a month. This was deemed as worth it by K24 management, since Julie is now going to be the official face of K24, taking over where Jeff Koinange left off. Watch out for her unveiling during today’s 9 o’clock news.

K24 seem to be doing whatever it takes to become number one, but they have a long way to go. The latest research figures from the Kenya Advertising Research Foundation pegged them at 2% national reach, while Citizen, the market leader, had 54% national reach.
