So guys we would like you to vote your favorite afternoon show on Kenyan Radio. We’ve got five nominees, so pick your best.

1. Air Goteana – Ghetto Radio

This is the afternoon show on Ghetto Radio hosted by Mbusih and Bonkode. The show has some of the best reggae tunes and is attributed for being the origin of some words in slang.

2. The Rush – Kiss 100
This is a show that’s aired on Weekdays 3.00pm to 8.00 PM hosted by Kalekye Mumo and Shaffie Weru they play the greatest hits in Nairobi. Listeners also answer Shaffie’s riddles, get a chance to sing to be famous, choose the perfect mix and listen to the gotcha call. The two also try to solve your relationship problems and you get to tell them about the traffic issues and listen to top 7 at 7.

3. The Jam – Capital FM
Described as “the only show where no rules apply”, the Jam is hosted by Cess Mutungi. It airs every weekday from 3 to 7 and listeners get a chance to liven up their dull afternoons, with Cess’s unique blend of humor and perspective of life packaged with the best jams (today’s R&B, Jazz, Neo-Soul and the best of the 80’s and 90’s) and chances to win great prizes.

4. Mambo Mseto – Citizen Radio
Airing every weekday between 1.15PM and 4PM, Mambo Mseto is probably the biggest show in the country (going by the accolades it won last year alone). Listeners get to listen to biggest and latest tunes from all over East African as well as get the latest entertainment news. This show is hosted by “Mzazi” Willy M. Tuva who also hosts the freshest talent from the region.

5. – Classic 105 Overdrive – Classic 105 
Hosted by the sassy Ciku Muiruri and Nick Odhiambo, Classic 105 Overdrive has managed to cut itself a niche in the radio world, thanks to its “Busted” section. Airing every weekday from 4PM till 7PM, the show has become so popular especially among the mature audience. Although “Busted” has come under fire in the past, the show continues to be a darling to many listeners.
