Ian Mbugua Does Not Want a Ruto/Uhuru Presidency
There has been so much debate on whether William Ruto and Uhuru Kenyatta should vie for presidency in the upcoming general elections. So yesterday, thespian and former TPF judge Ian Mbugua took to his Facebook page to voice his concern about the two running for presidency.
“In all fairness, certain candidates tainted by the PEV in any way have no moral right to vie for the Presidency . Yes, I have said it. Bite me!” read Ian’s post. This elicited sharp reactions and counter-reactions from his fans with some even getting temperamental with the debate drifting to tribal lines. “Ian politics is not TPF get it and let it sink in ur thick skull. UHURU for president ……….” commented one fuming fan. Ian who is known for always sharing his thoughts responded by saying, “such a pity that when people can’t debate or argue their case they retort to insults. how immature! my respect to those who disagree with me and explain why. those abusing me, a ha ha:-)”
The no non-sense thespian has of late been apprehensive with the current political mood in the country which has prompted him to start posting politically-inclined messages on his page. In one of his messages, he urged voters to be sober when voting in leaders. “We need to really consider the repercussions of voting for certain individuals during the next election. 5 years is a long time to right a mistake. Do not be swayed by what they claim they will do. Look at what they have done in their constituencies, ministries, places of work, families etc. Ask yourself if they are national leaders with heart and ability to unite Kenyans or merely tribal chiefs”.
