Starflix Brings The Dictator to the Big Screen

You can now catch Sacha Baron Cohen’s latest comedy on the big screen locally. The Dictator is now showing at Starflix Cinemas in Prestige.

The film is about Admiral General Aladeen who arrives in the United States to address the UN as his country, Republic of Wadiya, faces military intervention.

The film was written by and stars Sacha Baron Cohen himself. Cohen is famously known (at least for those who believe it’s him) as entertainment journalist, Ali G from Da Ali G show.

He also played an unassumingly hilarious TV reporter from the Middle East in BORAT. He also played a fashion journalist and aspiring designer in the wildly offensive Bruno.

Cohen brings back his highly misogynistic humor, this time, not as a journalist, but as the leader of an Arab country, which is obviously partly modeled from former Libyan leader, Muamar Gadaffi. For his irreverent comedy, he has won numerous awards from BAFTA to LA Film Critics among others.

The Dictator is directed by Larry Charles who has directed all the Sacha Boren Cohen mockumentary feature films. Other features he has directed include Masked & Anonymous and Religulous. He has also directed numerous episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm and written for Seinfeld and Entourage.

The Dictator will show at Starflix Prestige daily at 12:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. For more details, call 0708 251 275 or 0786 509 575. Check out The Dictator trailer below.
