Win a Trip to Meet Forest Whitaker Thanks to Coke Zero

Coke Zero put up a film contest where they wanted you to submit a 60 – 90 second teaser of what your original short will be, based on the brief provided. The film was suppsoed to be a story of romantic possibility based around the idea that some of the best action-creates-possibility moments happen at the weekend, particularly on a Saturday night, reflecting the unique energy that only Coke Zero gives.

Kenya had only one submission, which starred Gerald Langiri, Lizz Njagah and Lyne Jumba. The film titled A Zero Night Out was directed by Alex Konstantaras. An interesting thing, Lyne is Gerald’s girlfriend and Lizz is Konsta…’s wife. Konstantaras also served as the cameraman and the editor. The song playing is Harrys Pourouzidiz’ Hot Mama.

In October, three filmmakers will be shortlisted and get $15,000 each in funding to produce a short film based on their trailer. Coke Zero will organize a professional workshop to help the filmmakers out.

Next year, the overall winner will be flown to Los Angeles to spend a day with Forest Whitaker and the Juntobox team and start to make possible your dreams of making your first feature film! Check out Kenya’s A Zero Night Out below.
