Here’s How You Can Help an NGO That Does Nothing Get On Air
Whether Kenya’s first ever mockumentary TV show will ever be made is in your hands. A new comedy show needs funding so that it can get off the ground and get on TV screens.
The Samaritans centers around the absurdities of a dysfunctional NGO. The setting for The Samaritans is the Aid for Aid Kenya field office. It follows the NGO staff who have to deal with the odd demands and decisions of the head UK Aid for Aid office and hopelessly inept local bureaucrats while trying to write as many useless reports as possible, all under the guise of ‘saving’ Africa.
The film has so far achieved 46% of the target they need to get the show off the ground. With 21 backers, the project has managed to raise $4,600. You can help by checking out how you can contribute here. See the makers explain their project below.
