Citizen Goes On A “Shopping Spree” For Hot Anchors

It seems the Dennis Pritt Road-based media house is not ready to let go the top slot in the media industry any time soon. Just last week Ghafla! exclusively reported the hiring of a hot news anchor, Michelle Morgan, on the business news section by the TV station.

In a similar move, Monday saw the media giant introduce its newest kid on the block Alice Atieno Odera also joining the business news section. Odera and Morgan are expected to take over Citizen TV’s business desk from Terryanne Chebet who left the station for CCTV, and Tony Timase who is expected to do business features for Citizen.

This move could mean that Citizen TV is positioning itself to compete effectively in the market as competition is yet to get stiffer after CCTV’s sister station CNC TV (Xinhua TV) declared its interest in Kenya.

Well, it seems Royal Media mean business in this game.
