Zanzibar International Film Festival Winners’ List

The winners of the 15th Zanzibar International Film Festival were announced last week at the end of the annual festival. Check out the winners’ list below.

Zuku Best Actor – Kevin Ndege Mambo (Inside Story)
Zuku Best Actress – Thuli Khulamelo, Nomfundo Dinazana, Reona Ngiba for Uhlanga (The Mark) (South Africa)
Ousmane Sembene Films for Development Award – Uhlanga (The Mark)
Verona Award – Uhlanga (The Mark)
ZIFF Best Short Film – Moccasins by Denis M. Kimathi
ZIFF Best Documentary – Mama Afrika by Mika Kaurismaki
ZIFF Best Animation – Ostora by Hani Kichi
ZIFF Golden Dhow – Uhlanga (The Mark)
ZIFF Golden Dhow Runner-up – Zamora (Tanzania)
ZIFF Best East African Film – Zamora
