The Alpha-TPF saga: The other side of the coin!

Alpha has broken his silence on what he considers betrayal by the management board of TPF (slash) EABL.

But when you analyze the situation, what exactly does EABL owe it’s alumni other than the stipulated prizes? What more could the contestants want?

Well, EABL is the sponsor of the East African edition of Project Fame and even loan their name to our indeginous version but beyond that, do they really owe anyone anything? EABL is in the business of brewing and distributing alcohol. Period. TPF is a brilliant marketting gimmic but nothing more. Or is it?

My thinking is that if EABL wants to manufucture stars then they should be in it for the long haul. They should see the project through to the end and that end isn’t when the artist has won or recorded an album. In that respect, Alpha has a point. Just think about how much further Valerie would have flown had she recieved real backing.

Look at the stars produced by the international shows like Idols. They received banking above and beyond and that resulted in stars such as Jordin Sparks, Ruben Studdard, Kelly Clarkson et al. These names have gone on to raise the profiles of some of those that backed them such as Simon Cowell.

But then again, haven’t EABL done a fair amount to create stars out of the likes of Alpha? They have equiped them with alot more than the average celeb ever has. Take Jaguar for instance, he has built his empire single handedly. Or take Juliani, he has risen from grass to grace and he is an inspiration. Perhaps Alpha should begin to adopt a DIY (Do It Yourself) attitude and he will see his fortunes rise.

That’s just my humble opinion.
