So Eric Omondi Is Out Of Churchill Live. These Young Men Will Take His Place

In case you didn’t know, Eric Omondi is not going to be in the next season of Churchill Live, which starts next week on Thursday. In his place are going to be the following guys. If they perform as expected, we might not even miss Omondi’s presence:

jib– J.B Masanduku Junior

Son to the late legendary comedian Masanduku Arap Simit(Sammy Kimani Muya), reknown from the Vitimbi & Vioja Mahakamani comedy shows.

He was also a presenter on the unique KISS TV show ‘Matatu.’

J.B is so dedicated, that he quit engineering to do comedy. However, later on he graduated from Strathmore University with a BCOM degree.

On ambition, he says, “In five years, I want to have my own show and show guys everything I do.” Looks like he may be eyeing Churchill’s throne when he steps down!

Here is a sample video of one of his performances. It’s crazy. Trust me:

wakimani– Paul “WaKimani” Ogutu

Of himself, he says, “I like cracking jokes, unfortunately I end up laughing at those jokes alone.”

You might have seen him during Stand Up Comedy Night at Hothauz(former Deepwest Restaurant).
He’s also a thespian with Heartstrings Kenya. I saw him in “Kenya Pangapuff Girls,” a play about Nyeri women, and WOW, this guy is as hilarious as they come!

Some of his classic jokes:

“HAPPY MADARAKA DAY:Dont drink and drive. Stop the car, drink then drive.”

“Its a man eat man society. Alex Kinyua atafanya wakenya tuanze kuenda ng’ambo na kofia… juu tunapunguza aibu.”

Follow him on Facebook or on Twitter for more of his wisecracks.

ayeiyaaaA.K.A Ayeiyaaa

He starred alongside Wakimani in the hit comedy named “The Hot Seat.” His real names are Emmanuel Makori but he actually adopted that name because people were so into his famous catchphrase, “Ayeiyaaa! POA POA!”

His popularity is evident in his Facebook following, which numbers over 24,000 people as of writing this.

Some of his classic jokes:

“They should close Parliament MP’s warudi shule wasiseme ni session zilifanya wakaanguka.”

“Ushawai osha nguo alafu unangoja ikauke? Kama hujawai, feel free to test your patience.”

alibabaAlibaba

27 year old Eric ‘Alibaba’ Kilingo is a man of many hats. According to him, he is a Kenyan entertainer, comedian, MC, actor and finally a Radio Presenter at Nation Media Group’s QFm. He also has a very philosophical side to him apart from the usual comedy.

Some of his classic jokes:

“Hiyo swali ni Ngumu kama Chapati ya Kwanza!”
“You should feel special if a Virgo loves you.”
