KENYAN TO TAKE THE SWEDISH THRONE?

There’s a 19 year old who’s in the running to take the throne of Sweden… the ‘Miss World Sweden’ throne that is. Meet Elisabeth Idestrom, the Swedish model with Kenyan roots. Elisabeth’s second and middle name is ‘Wangari’ and in her free time, she says she loves to perform and dance. She currently lives in the Swedish capital, Stockholm and has to battle it out with about 260 other girls for the title.

The Miss World Sweden pageant will be held on April 23, 2012. The winner will represent Sweden at the Miss World pageant in Mongolia on August 18, 2012. The winner will not only receive $100,000 in prize money, but also get the chance to go travel the world for a year working with charities.
