Renowned Super Model Joins The Fight Against Poaching (Photo)
On May 30th this year, a legendary beast fell. His name Satao and he was thought to be the largest-tusked elephant surviving in Africa.
Satao was so big that his tusks stretched to more than 6.5 feet (2 meters) long, something which appeased to the voracious poachers who shot him with poisoned arrows and chopped of his face.
His death is just one of the many stories depicting the gruesome deaths elephants and Rhinos have to undergo to fill the unreasonable hunger for for ivory.
Anti-poaching attempts have been made to save these beloved animal such as ‘Hands Off Our Elephants ’have been frustrated by the fact that the biggest poachers are ‘untouchable’ since they are related to very powerful people.
But despite these hurdles, saving the elephants can be possible. And if we joined Paula Kahumbu a Kenyan wildlife conservationist with the nonprofit Wildlife Direct I have a feeling something can be done to save this poor innocent beasts.
Anyhow ,Ajuma took a break from walking down runways and doing other ‘modelly’ things to show her support for Paula and her selfless cause:
