American Journalist Reveals What Kenyans Consider Beautiful (Photos)
What is beauty by Kenyan standards? Is it a yellow-yellow complexion, is it ruby red lips, eyelids glazed with eye shadow or is it stunning chocolate skin?
Kansas based Journalist Esther Honig sought to find out what was beautiful in different cultures. She brought together 40 artists – a mix of amateurs and professionals, paid them a small fee and asked them to photo shop her make-up free face into what they consider beautiful .

She told them to make her “beautiful.” And the results were remarkable, Moroccans considered a woman covered in a hijab with a face fully made up beautiful, people from the Philippines thought that flowing hair and red lipstick made a woman beautiful while Kenyans thought that blue-eye shadow was what made a woman beautiful
Honig found the resulting images “intriguing and insightful.”
Here are some un-retouched photos of her and after her face got retouched to fit into different cultures standards of beauty
