Former Royal Media Radio Presenter Fiercely Defends Zawadi Nyong’o Following the Ugly Spat on Twitter

It all started with Zawadi Nyong’o taking to Twitter accusing popular blogger Biko Zulu of being a misogynist for apparently failing to give her credit for all her hard work in the Jadudi Campaign in a Business Daily interview.

But the rug was pulled rather unceremoniously from under her by a Twitter user who revealed that Jadudi’s bills been catered for by NHIF and yet in all her campaigns and media interviews, Zawadi failed to mention that.

“What happened to the millions that were donated?” The Twitter user asked. Further taking Zawadi into a corner by tweeting “VERY many people get turned down by the government when they seek funds to go for treatment outside. BUT there are those that get lucky.”

Zawadi then took to Twitter to defend herself amid jeers from dissatisfied KOT who were pissed off that she did not give information about NHIF involvement. Biko then took to his blog to clear the air in his blog

But the drama did not stop there with the blogs running with this story calling the #1millionforjadudi a scam.

Secondly have you read the JADUDI REPORT? Very transparent!

It is unprofessional articles like these that frustrate the efforts of crowd funders. I have interacted with both Jadudi and Zawadi and nothing has been more clear, he STILL needs treatment.

ACF is doing marvelously in their efforts to create awareness about the need for early detection and screening. Cancer is the 3rd highest killer in Kenya. Organisations like ACF and Faraja Cancer Support Trust are doing their bit to ensure that when NHIF are slow to respond, patients don’t pass on
