Lillian Muli’s Fashion Police Mock Politicians’ Horrible Fashion Choices

Kenyan celebrities beware, Lillian Muli’s fashion police are watching! Do not be caught looking less than neat as a new pin, pair your loafers with your linen, your tans with your browns and under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you be caught basking shirtless in trousers and covered in sand.

These were a few lessons Kenyan politicians learnt this week after the fashion watch zeroed in on them. Citizen Fashion Watch panel is comprised of Robert, a renowned fashion consultant, Ian Mbugua TPF Judge, Carol Odero- Drum editor and Annabel Onyango a fashion stylist.

I tuned in a bit late but I got to catch a few politicians whose fashion faux pas were the topic of conversation.

The Fashion Watch focused on the recent ODM Devolution Conference that was held at the coast

Isaac Ruto governor Bomet county and his counterpart Hussein Dado his Tana River counterpart were first on the list and the panel felt their outfits covered with an orange lesso made them look like convicts who had just broken out of prison . Ian who is a straight shooter said that he thought the two looked like man and wife! Ouch!

The Usain Gishu governor showed up in a Maasai Print shirt and trouser which the panel felt looked like Pajamas and his Akala shoes did not fly either and it was deemed ‘unacceptable’ for a dignitary to show up in Akala

There was also an unspecified bigwig who decided to pose by the beach, hand on head in a sexy pose while the panel admired his spirit of playfulness they felt that the pose was too ‘playboy cover model like’

In between fits of laughter and criticism the panel also commended those who had gone out of their way to look dapper and one of them was PLO Lumumba who had attended a wedding in a high thread count, well tailored and fitting jacket that had a Chinese color. They thought he looked pretty good in his signature look. Half of the panel also named Ruto as Kenya’s best dressed politician while Annabel thought Najib Balala was always well turned-out.
