This American Superstar Is the Reason Sauti Sol Got To Play on an International Stage with Beyonce, Coldplay and Ed Sheeran

A few months after performing for Obama, Sauti Sol made global headlines again after performing for a mammoth crowd of more than 60,000 people who had gathered in New York City’s Central Park on 26th September.

Flanking them on stage was other African mega-stars like, Becca, Diamond, Mafikizolo, Sarkodie, Toofan and Yemi Alade for the grand performance of “Tell Everybody”, a song that promotes the Global Goals for Sustainable Development.

Other people that Sauti Sol got to share a stage with was Beyonce, Ed Sheeran, Arianna Grande and Coldplay with celebrities like Kerry Washington, Hugh Jackman, Bono and Salma Hayek and even Queen Rania of Jordan making their way to the global event.

The question on everyone’s mind is how a Kenyan group got to share a stage with superstars. Well it’s all thanks to Coldplay’s front man Chris Martin who is the current creative director of the event.
