Florida, Nairobi’s Most Iconic Nightclub Reopens It’s Doors This Weekend

Legendary nightclub Florida opened it’s doors 1979 in the heart of Nairobi, quickly establishing itself as an icon and defining the landscape of Kenya’s entertainment industry. After almost 39 years of operation, Florida closed it’s doors to the public last year, providing the Florida Group management team with an opportunity to go back to the drawing board and recreate the magic that was part and parcel of iconic Florida brand through the 80’s and 90’s.

Nairobi’s nightlife will take on a whole new dimension when Florida Nightclub reopens its doors to the public this January 31st on Banda Street. Just a stones throw from it’s legacy location, Nairobi’s oldest, and now newest nightclub, will provide an opportunity for exclusive guests to escape into an atmosphere in which an unparalleled VIP experience will converge with world class DJ programming, stunning visual imagery, and exhilarating live performances.

Florida’s new interior boast a reimagined Art Deco theme and luxurious fittings, which compliment a top of the range sound system and a Madrix lighting system. The dancefloor alone features over 10,000 Led lights for Nairobi’s glitterati to dance the night away and the immersive art deco interior extends to unrivaled table service and an exclusive VVIP lounge.

The Florida management team have worked closely with Nairobi based Creative Agency Let_it_grow to develop the new Florida brand and expressed their excitement about the project.
