Curvy Revolution; The Reason Why Sickly Looking Skeletal Models Will Not be On The Runway This Coming Weekend
For centuries, the skeletal, sickly girls who pass as fashion models have been praised! Containing more meat on your skin was shunned and looked down upon on that account, ridiculous ways have been used by plus size women in hopes of getting that model figure that media has for centuries put down our throats as the ideal woman. Real beauty isn’t found in size zero, and it’s time plus-size models redefine what society considers beautiful not the heroine addict-looking supermodels.
And us women, love YOU. You have so much beauty inside of you that’s dying to come out. All you need to do is wake up every morning and have the confidence to to show it off. There’s nothing wrong being big, just be disciplined to be healthy. While curvy, you are still beautiful and still you. Life is too short to care what the next person thinks about your weight, if he or she has a problem with it, it’s THEIR problem, eat that damn cupcake if you want too!
I digress, my point was, the First Exclusive Plus Size Auditions is about to go down. I’m here to let you dear reader know when it will be, what you need for the auditions plus any other thing concerning the auditions.
‘Plus Fabulosity’s’ aim is to bring diversity in the Kenyan fashion industry by exclusively representing the plus size community.
They are looking for photographic, editorial, commercial and runway models. This amazing event will be going down at Secrets Lounge, Nairobi on the 31st of January, 2015. Put that in your diary.
What is needed is quite simple;
Must be Plus Size (Size 14 and above).
Bring with you:
1. A comfortable outfit of your choice.
2. Heels of not less than 3″ inches
3. A recent passport photo
4. Your confident self 🙂
A small fee of 700/= in advance and 1,000/= on the day of the auditions payable to Mpesa Till Number 802409 shall be charged, this will include the model training.
