Wrong Number: Is This Kenya’s Next Celebrated Movie After Nairobi Half Life?
The film is a Crime Thriller that involved an all Kenyan cast and crew of which majority are new and fresh talent in the entertainment scene. The film is about the situations that we are facing daily in our country as we celebrate 50 years of self rule.
These are drugs,violence,immorality and consequences that befall respective characters in what we can only summarize as crime doest pay.
The plot;
Morgan(James Kariuki) is a young ruthless rich drug baron.His girlfriend Lilly(Janet Chelle) is disturbed because he no longer affords her time,he is busy chasing money & wiping out anybody and anything that threatens his survival.In the cause of “business” he meets Cindy(Winnie Njoki) who has just cleared Campus & is desperate for a job & a good life.
Meanwhile her boyfriend Jay(Jamleck Maina) is an upcoming musician who she suspects is cheating on her with his fans.One of Morgans Assistants Kibunja(Biko Nyongesa) slowly starts to regret his “career” as it tears his family apart.Lead Detectives-Dt Douglas(Zeph Mwangi) & Dt Morris(Jacktone Busaka) are turning every stone to ensure the criminal is booked.All backed by a brave & smart investigative journalist Kate Mawanda(Koi Ngunjiri).

The film will Premiere and screen at Alliance Francaise on 19th and 20th from 6pm-8pm…then 8pm -10pm.

Apart from it being a Red Carpet affair and open to the public,refreshments will be offered and major film players inthe country have already confirmed their attendance including top producers and actors.The film has been rated 16 by Kenya Film Classification Board.
