Here’s What You Need To Access Government Tenders
The government has set aside 30 per cent of all tenders for the youth, women and the disabled. That is over Sh200 billion for you. But what do you need to access the tenders?
Here is what you need;70 per cent of your organization must be owned by youth, women or disabled under the age of 35.
All bosses must be either youth, women or disabled. Firms need to have business registration certificate/ certificate of incorporation, PIN/VAT certificate, tax compliance certificate and partnership deed for partnership business.
Companies also need to be registered with Treasury. To register, they can visit http://www.treasury.go.ke/
To know which tenders have been floated that you qualify for, SMS the word PATA to 22929 and they will receive SMS alerts whenever a ministry, parastatal or any other public agency floats a tender that the youth or women qualify.
The service will also provide guidelines on how the two groups can register their companies with Treasury to be pre-qualified to supply goods and services to the government. Get rich now!
