Women4Conjestina Boxing Match: The Aftermath

After all the fun, laughter and a little fatigue that surrounded the women celebrity boxing match for Conjestina, it’s time for “stock-taking”.

The organizer of the event, musician Suzanna Owiyo this morning revealed that the boxing bout managed to raise a total of KSh. 160,000/-. Suzanna was full of praise for those who turned up for the event and the ladies who got into the ring attributing the event’s success to them.

“Now I know how it feels being in the ring.That short experience has made me respect sports women/Men. The goal is to train to win,” revealed Suzanna. The Kisumu 100 hit maker also urged Kenyans to come out in numbers to assist the Pamoja Conje Initiative. “Conje’s dream is to get back to the Ring!”We can help her achieve this in our own small or big way. Let’s keep Kenya women boxing alive and kicking!” concluded Suzanna.

The ultimate winner of the boxing match was singer Iddi Achieng. Other winners in their respective matches were Suzanna Owiyo (against Laura Walubengo), Pinky Ghelani (against Lillian Muli), Iddi Achieng (against Kalekye Mumo) and Sheila Kwamboka (against Ann McCreath).
