Nick Mutuma Takes Over From Octopizzo

Tomorrow, the participants at the monthly artists’ workshop will have another facilitator. Hits FM’s Nick Mutuma will tomorrow facilitate an artists’ workshop dubbed Sound in Motion at the Sarakasi Dome between 3PM-6PM.

The workshop which was formerly hosted by Octopizo invites people in the music industry to share their knowledge on different topics. Munene Mutuma as he is popularly known will engage the underground artists in topics like: self-management, handling bad publicity, marketing, networking, branding, public relations among others.

Sound in Motion is a monthly workshop that builds on creative tools and knowledge between music performers to create a strong and intuitive connection between musicians and their music or musical instrument which in turn encourages fluidity and ingenuity in music production, music management and performing music.

Each workshop builds around a different theme selected by the participants, is built on peer to peer sharing and will end in an open mike session which is open to friends, other artists and the public. These workshops will be happening every 3rd Friday of every month at the Sarakasi Dome from 3pm. Since its inception last August the workshop has been growing bigger and has seen big artists, DJs, managers and other key players in the industry all over the world share their knowledge here.

Participants get personal invites on SMS and transport and meals catered for by Sarakasi Trust. They also get a chance to perform on stage every 1st Saturday of the month during the newly introduced event-THE HIP HOP HOOK-UP more or less like WAPI.
