Day 1 of Oktoberfest Will Feature the Biggest Band Battle in Kenya Ever

Oktoberfest will be a weekend-long celebration of beer to take place this weekend at the Impala Grounds on Ngong’ Road. The opening ceremony will take place at 5:00 p.m. this evening which will pave way for a battle of the bands.

With over a dozen bands, this will probably be the biggest battle of the bands we have seen in the country. Here is the list of bands to expect to battle it out this evening and the timeline of their performances:

6:45 p.m. – Corder Band
7:05 p.m. – The Nini
7:25 p.m. – Le Tortue
7:45 p.m. – Njeri Kahare Project
8:05 p.m. – Music 2 Overdrive (Feature Band)
8:25 p.m. – Dove Slimme
8:45 p.m. – Ministry of Love
9:05 p.m. – The Claymore Project
9:25 p.m. – Parking Lot Grass
9:45 p.m. – Simply Tomas (Feature Band)
10:05 p.m. – Nairotics
10:25 p.m. – The Real Deal
10:45 p.m. – Rock of Ages
11:05 p.m. – The Beathogs

The battle will be followed by a set by DJ Protege who will break for the prize-giving ceremony by the judges and sponsor before he continues till late into the night.
