He’s Blind, But He’s Ready to Put On a Great Show

Thursday Nite Live has become one of the most popular weekly events in Nairobi. The live show promotes original acoustic, jazz and roots music. This week, Roots International presents Michel Ongaro. Entrance is free.

The event takes place on the 6th of September between 8:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. at Choices Pub & Restaurant on Baricho Road. The Thursday Nite Live event will be a perfect fit for Ongaro as he released a largely acoustic album in Jauary this year, Mazoea.

Michel Ongaro is an all-round artiste who has performed as a song-writer, music arranger, percussionist, vocalist besides playing instruments like drums, flute and various percussion instruments. All this overcoming his disability, blindness.

The event takes place at Choices Bar & Restaurant on Baricho Road between 8:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. Artistes who have previously performed at Thursday Nite Live include Sauti Sol, Abbi, Makadem, Yunasi, Eric Wainaina, Winyo and Stan among others.
