Man Drinks Himself to Death!

Another lorry toppled over and this time it happened to be carrying a truck load of alcohol and was in Maru area of Nyeri.

In true fashion, Kenyans rushed to take their bountiful of liquor no matter the consequence and would you believe it or not, one man died of over-consumption. Police eventually made it to the area and prevented any more looters from ‘cashing in’.

The scariest part of the entire scenario was some of the locals disatisfactorily saying they should just be left to offload the truck of its contents so they can drink themselves silly. Others said the levels of poverty in the area is what led most of the villagers to take their fill of alcohol.
