Kenya’s Next Big Stars at the ‘Live And Loud’ with Sauti Academy

The students of Kenya’s newest and freshest musical school, Penya Africa’s Sauti Academy, will be celebrating their graduation at an explosive festival dubbed, ‘LIVE and LOUD’ at Michael Joseph Centre, Safaricom House on the 12th & 19th of May 2012 (from 7pm).

Nine young artistes are starting the journey to a solo career as they look to their bright futures under the Penya Africa brand. 

The successful label has listed the identities of its 9 promising talents as follows:

Penya’s latest signing Dempsey is currently working on his debut album, full of soulful melodies & genius guitar themes.
Lele’s little rebel Wangui playfully maneuvers through her songs with a sparkly performance.
Delaney is a gentle crooner who uses his artistic freedom to perform melancholic, piano based Rock ballads.
With his smooth, mellow vocals, Jarel will tell stories of contemporary Nairobi.
Prisca inspires the world through honest words craftily fused in musical melodies with a whole lot of soul, and all that jazz!
Wordbenda paints a musical picture with his lyrical pastel and his Funk-Jazz rooted band compliments his energetic stage persona.
Govoi‘sacoustic Hip Hop / Roots-Reggae music will transport you straight to his mtaa, Kangemi.
-Bubbly doctor-to-be Cynthia fuses science & music in her life. Her music is medicine to the soul and will leave the audience in bliss.
On stage, Meryl is a diva who is however not afraid to serenade her beloved. Her soulful, deep vocals tell the stories of love’s bumpy ride.
