Where the party’s at!
Party people, since i know the month is still young and most of us will be out trolling for a party irrespective of the rain, i figure i can make the search alot easier. Here’s a list of the parties to look forward to for the weekend:
Holy Ghost functions (read Gospel parties):

The Lounge
DJ Soxxy is hosting a gospel throwdown called “The Lounge” that is essentially meant to bless those ducking traffic jams (which have been kray of late) with a touch of Holy noise. The gig will be at Petma restaurant located in Kenwood House on Kimathi Street.

Kamlesh Kabaga Album Launch
Kamlesh Kabaga will be launching his album “Independence Day” at Parkland Baptist Church and the show will feature performances by Groove award male artiste of the year winner Eko Dydda, Holy Dave, Shem, Kevo Juice, Kelele Takatifu, Michelle, Gregory xiii, Righa & Amp and Kris Eeeh Baba.
Date: Sunday (6th of May)

Cross Connect
This is mainly for teenagers and the young at heart. And this jam session has been going on since the 19th of February. and is held at Timers Restaurant which is above the Bakers Inn opposite G.P.O and will also be going down this Sunday.

Secular functions:

B.O.G.O.F presents “TELL-A-VISION”
This is an event for by creatives and thus the event will be hosted by a host of talented poets, rappers, live bands, sketch artistes and photographers. Anto Neosoul will emcee for the event.
Date: Saturday (5th of May)
Entrance:300/-
Performers &/or artists: Macharia Maina, Mdeizi, Ka-Hawa and Mbulaa, for the live band segment. Female rapper Xtatic will represent the hip hop element at the event. The poets to grace the event include: Raya Wambui, and Asali. Also in attendance will be Sketch artistes, Siege, Nduta, Denet, Melpractise and Ramsey, and photographers, Buyu and Rowena.

Parking Lot Grass Album launch
Kenyan rock band, ParkingLotGrass will be launching their album “Shimo Mfukoni” which will give patrons a taste of the Kenyan rock experience. This unique launch will take place at the Mall Westlands. Also on stage at the event will be other leading Kenyan rockers, Dove Slimme, Rock of Ages and Seismic.
Advance tickets which have been on sale since Wednesday 25th April should reportedly have stopped being sold. The ticket price at the gate will be Kshs. 500.
