A NEW MEANING TO #TEAM100
The term ‘team 100′ is closely associated with the offer that one of Westlands’ night spots has every Thursday night, but one Sitawa Wafula is not taking this particular tag lightly.
Working on a vision she has, together with three of her friends, she decided to launch a campaign – 100 girls in 100 days through which she, together with other stakeholders, is working to take 100 girls from North Eastern through secondary school by raising funds in 100 days.
Sitawa would like to take these girls to schools within their locality given that due to cultural constraints, girls are not allowed to go out of parents view.
The campaign target is Ksh 10M given the average total fee most schools is Ksh 25,000 inclusive of Sanitary towels and other necessities bringing the total to Ksh 100,000 per girl for the four years which Sitawa;s grouping would like to raise in 100 days starting from March 1st, when she had officially launched the campaign.
