THEY WANT US TO PARTY IN THE DARK…

A United States NGO wants you to throw a party…wait for it… in the DARK! West Virginia based New Vision for Renewable Energy want to bring about change, and help for over 1.5 billion people across the globe who sleep in darkness.

Here’s more information about the organization and what they are planning to do:

Did you know that there are 1.6 billion people on this earth living in darkness every night? Without any type of access to electricity or light? That’s almost one fourth of humanity. Here’s the reality. They don’t have to keep living in darkness. And you can be a part of making this happen.

On March 31st, you have the opportunity to bring light to the darkness. We are throwing house parties all over the United States and around the world (INCLUDING KENYA). People are going to gather together on the same night, in churches and homes, in yoga studios and businesses, anywhere where people can come together that want to make a difference in this world.

And they are going to have a party. But here’s the catch. The party will be in the dark. They will invite their friends. They will throw a party but they will throw it in darkness as we come together with millions of people all over the world.

New Vision needs your help to bring light to those who most need it. We are signing up Ambassadors of Light every day. YOU can make a difference and join us for this cause.

It’s simple. Invite 12-15 of your friends to your home on March 31st for a party. Ask them to bring $10. All you have to do is provide snacks and drinks. We will do everything else. We will provide you with a DVD to show that night. For one hour, you will turn your lights out and light a Candle of Hope for those who live in darkness. Party in the Dark hopes to bring light particularly to Kibera slums which they say is ‘one of the toughest slums in Africa.’ Bringing $10 to a Party In The Dark will bring them a solar powered light that will light their homes all night.
