Jumia Donates 1 Million Worth Of Clothing To Kenya Children’s Home (Photos)
Jumia, Kenya’s leading e-commerce retailer has presented a clothing donation worth 1 million shillings to the Kenya children home popularly known as St. Barnados children’s home.
Parinaz Firozi managing director Jumia Kenya said that they made the donation to aid over 1,500 children and young adults that the home supports.“We are proud to support the good work being done by the Kenya Children Home in helping thousands of children and young adults have the opportunity to become their best self and live their true purpose in life. We hope these contributions will make a difference in their lives.” he said.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the home, Martha Muiruri, lead resource mobiliser at the home thanked Jumia for their donation and called on other corporates and individuals to contribute to the goodwill of the less privileged.
“We rely on well-wishers to run the home and are appealing to corporates and individuals out there, friends of Barnados to contribute whatever they can, someone out here needs it.”
