Sonko Protests Vigorously After He Was Named One of the Worst Performing Senators

Mzalendo Trust recently named Nairobi senator Mike Sonko as one of the worst performing senators.

He was named alongside Nominated Senator Hosea Ochwangi as the worst performers of 2015, something which has driven Mike Sonko up the wall.

The Nairobi Senator took to social media to explain himself to his voters and accused Mzalendo trust of being detractors with shoddy opinions

“As we approach electioneering period, so many ways including malice and propaganda will be used to discredit other politicians especially those who are focused on service delivery. Today Mzalendo Trust delivered a report on 27 MPs who did not contribute in the parliamentary proceedings in which I have been mentioned as one of the worst performing Senators in the Senate. However, I accept any healthy criticism on my parliamentary performance. But I wish to bring to the attention of the Great people of Nairobi City County that the same Mzalendo Trust was bought and paid by one of the Nairobi City County bosses and held a press conference on 21/1/2016 condemning my efforts to bring to book the City Hall askaris who were brutally killing our innocent hawkers in Nairobi.” he begun.

Before adding “ It has now emerged that this same lobby group dubbed Mzalendo Trust which was attacking me has now conducted the shoddy opinion poll to dent my good image while my record of contributing and tabling of motions in senate is very clear in the harnsard which captures all the senate proceedings.

So far I have tabled and urged a petition over retrenchment of Kenya Airways staff.

I actively debated on the impeachment of Embu Governor Martin Wambora.

I actively debated during the supremacy wars between the Senate and the National Assembly on the allocation of county funds.

I debated on a motion on recarpetting of all urban roads “

He then went to list the motions that he had filed in parliament before promising to expose what he calls ‘political cowards’ funding Mzalendo Trust.
