After Making a Name in Politics, Johnson Sakaja Sets out to Conquer the Music Industry
He’s one of the most astounding MP’s we have in the country and he has cut a niche for himself when it comes to fighting for the rights of the Kenyan youth. He’s handsome too and you can probably catch up with him at a forum near you driving a couple of ladies gaga.
It seems now Johnson Sakaja is about to move his charisma and vigour from the confines of power to the Kenyan music industry which is in a chronic state. Like terminal cancer, Kenya’s music industry has been in a compromising situation for the longest time and it’s not until recently when Elani came out to express their frustration that things have started moving.
And unlike other times, this time the debate is pressing on and it has found itself at Sarakasi Dome, the event being and the agenda being to propel the industry forward.
The Kenyan Music Scene boasts of celebrated musicians not only in Kenya but also beyond our borders. Various artistes have represented Kenya on various platforms around the world each time carrying our flag high above everyone else. It is with this in mind that Sarakasi Trust has decided to bring together all Kenyan artists on a one of a kind workshop that seeks to bring to the table key stake holders and industry players.
This will be on the 17th of this Month, coming Thursday just to be specific and this will be the panelists:
Hon Johnson Sakaja -Kenya Young Parliamentarians
Mike Strano – Music Publishing
June Gachui -Intellectual Property
George Ndeche -Artist Management
Tabu Osusa -Identity of our Music
Rashid Abdalla -Festival Bookings
Enos Olik – Videography
Wanny Angerer – Social Entrepreneurs
Annette Kawira CMOs/PRISK
Kimani Wanjiru
Josephat Nyamache – Lawyer
I don’t know about you, but I think that’s just what the industry needs. See you there!
