““Whoever has information on the killing of businessman Jacob Juma should take it to the police and not his funeral,”Deputy President Ruto Finally Speaks On Jacob Juma’s Murder And Here Is Why He Will Not Be Attending The Burial

Deputy President Ruto has spoken upon the allegations and the controversy surrounding Jacob Juma for the first time.

Having been linked by Jacob Juma himself and a number of opposition leaders, William Ruto decided to finally break silence on the issue. Speaking in his political backyard in Nandi, the DP scoffed at the leaders asking them to stop seeking political mileage from the issue and instead take any evidence they have to the police.

Yesterday, his team had also said that they will look to sue several of the speakers at the requiem mass held in Nairobi notably Cyrus Jirongo for what they termed as falsehood remarks aimed to tarnish the reputation of the DP.

Here are a couple of the DP’s remarks in Nandi.

“Whoever has information on the killing of businessman Jacob Juma should take it to the police and not his funeral,”

“There is no difference between those who commit crime and those who make wild allegations without assisting the police.”

In his earlier tweets last year, Jacob Juma had said he would not want the DP to attend his funeral as he did not lead a hypcritical life and thus even in death he would want to maintain that. It is thus understandable why senior government members have kept silent on the issue.
