A new Swahili TV station to be launched tonight
CCTV has been poaching the best journalists that our country has, for their Swahili TV station, while Al Jazeera is planning to launch a Swahili TV station, but our own Nation Media Group has retaliated by opening a
new Swahili TV station called QTV.

In the middle is QTV manager Betty Dindi.
The station will be launched tonight at 8pm, and thus reduce the penetration of CCTV Swahili department.
The new TV station was named after QFM, which is a Swahili radio station owned by Nation Media Group. With this kind of investments, what will make this media house not to be the biggest in broadcasting industry?
I hope with this move, we as a country will be able to tame the CCTV influence because they show more of their stuff than ours.
