Aaron Rimbui Joins Capital FM

Jazz & Fusion pianist Aaron Rimbui is now joining Capital FM as the host of the Capital Jazz Club show on Sunday evenings from 4pm.

He will replace the show’s previous host, Jack Ojiambo, who has been on Capital FM for the past 17 years. “Its unfortunate for me to report that I shall be leaving your Capital Jazz Club radio programme after 17 years rather abruptly. Hope we can continue to share in whatever way,” Jack said in a statement. Of course fans of the Jazz Junction were perturbed by the news, but the only constant in this life is change. Aaron Rimbui is no slouch himself. He does regular shows at “All That Jazz,” and is responsible for bringing jazz in Kenya to the mainstream. Let’s wait and see what he can come up with for the show.

The news comes a week after Laura Walubengo left the station after a long-serving spell as well.
