After BBA, Another Enchanting Reality Show Hits The Screen. And It Has All The Music Superstars (Photos)

A new music reality TV format hit East African screens yesterday. Maisha Magic’s ‘Maisha Superstar’ was officially launched on DStv channel 161.

Maisha Superstar is a show running for 13 weeks which features six celebrity coaches from Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania who use their contacts and knowledge to search their countries for emerging music acts.

The logic behind the show is to make a rookie into a big big-selling music star. The celebrity mentors will be coaching their respective rookie who will be competing for the title of Maisha Superstar plus a chance of winning cash prize and a recording contract.

Maisha Superstar will also engage the audience back at home who will be given a chance to support and help their favourite rookie succeed on the show.

Taking up the challenge as mentors are; Maurice Kirya, Nameless, AY, Rabbit, Jose Chameleone and Shaa. Legend Eric Wainaina has been named the series music director and the ever charming Amina Abdi is series presenter.
