After Betty Kyallo Was Bashed For Posing In A Bikini, Joy Kendi And ‘This Is Ess’ Called ‘Whores’ For Posing In Bikinis. And This Is How They Responded To the Slut-Shaming
About two months ago, Betty Kyallo was seriously slammed after she was spotted in a bikini top and some tiny shorts while on holiday.
People really went in on her, calling her all sorts of uncomplimentary names and telling her that married women should not dress like that, even though she had some sort of cover up to preserve her modesty.

Now, fashion bloggers, Joy Kendi and ‘This is Ess’ have been blithely and publicly called whores for posing in bikini’s during their Lamu Visit. Apparently, people are not too keen on bikinis and would rather you swim in your jeans and maybe a deera.
They did not respond to the trolls on Instagram and instead decided to delete the rude comments Instagram. However a a girl by the username Nyambura Muchiri felt that they should not be silent about the cyber bullying and slut-shaming and asked the bloggers to speak up and use their platform to address these issues that are affecting women.
Nyambura Muchiri wrOte “…It makes me sad to see such comments, perhaps you all should write a blog post about it on each of your profiles? Or maybe when you all post about lamu, you can have more group pictures like these to show female solidarity. Also, speak up on women empowerment more on your blogs. People love to tear you girls down but it’s because they know your strength. So cheers to a more feminist driven 2016 ladies. You guys usually post only about yourselves, but with the hate here, it’s the time to speak up for women solidarity.”
Joy later took to Snapchat to address her haters.
“So I just need to get this out of my system. Dear haters why is it that when women are at the beach, somehow wearing a bikini makes you a whore? Sharon are you a whore?” Joy asked
To which Sharon sarcastically responded with “Of course have you not seen me in a bikini?”
Joy Kendi then feigned shock and jokingly said ‘OMG you are such a whore!” and that was the end of it.
