Matthew Maina must be the luckiest Kenyan in prison! His ordeal has turned out to open a whole new window of opportunities for him that will even make the devil himself choke in envy.
The 16-year-old teen jumped over State House wall out of desperation in an attempt to meet the president to ask him for money to record his songs.
His plan landed him in Industrial Area Remand Prison after the court charged him for trespassing protected area.
‘Huu Mwaka’ hit maker caught up with Matthew last week and offered to foot his high school fees from form one to four.
Shortly after Jaguar’s visit, multimillionaire music pundit, Joe Kariuki, made his way to the remand to meet Matthew.
Joe had earlier called Ghafla! to seek assistance in tracing the teenager.
Upon arrival at Industrial Area remand, Joe realized Matthew was wearing the same cloth he was in when he was apprehended.
The millionaire immediately sent his boys to rush to town to buy him cloths. He says he will be settling the bail that the court will handing him when he appears in court on Wednesday.
Matthew faces a prison term of two years if found guilty. If he can’t raise the bail the court will be demanding then he will be going back to joins boys in white and black strips uniform.
Lucky Joe is around to make sure he breathes the air of freedom comes Wednesday.
