After The Young Orphan Wowed Everyone During Obama’s Visit Here Is The Former Street Kid Who Will Share The Same Podium With Pope

A while back when Obama was in town, a young orphaned girl wowed the whole world when she got the POTUS hug and photo moment.

Well another world leader will be in town in a short-while, the leader of the over 1 billion catholic faithful in the world, Pope Francis. He may not get a young girl with flowers at the airport but the pope who is known for his love and interaction with the poor will also have interesting company.

Former street boy Simon Omari Mwangi currently a student at Koelel Secondary School. Simon was rescued by a catholic priest who sponsored him through primary school and now is a beneficiary of Equity’s scholarship program ‘Wings to fly’. He will share the same podium with the Pope during the Pope’s address to the youth in Kasarani.
