Another Kenyan rapper of international standards

Kenyan rappers are going all out with good quality music and videos. Trying to match the international rapper’s standards and so far, we are almost there. Infact, some of them are even being recognised by some of the established international starts, marking the beginning of their stardom and success.

Camp Mulla stood out from the rest of the Kenyan artistes with their unique style and flow. Some time after their rise, Crew Teflon came along and stole the hype. A little bit later, The Large Gang came through with their never heard of style of music, making the rest look like wannabees.

Now, we have just discovered another star in the rising. He goes by the name of Constant, but don’t let the name define his movement. This guy is definitely moving to greater heights. His video ‘Playas Only’ is nothing like what you would expect from a Kenyan artiste (no offence to Kenyan artistes). I actually thought that this was a Western video in the beginning before I saw the rest of it. It is that good and so is the flow of the rapper. Not the usual pause-bar-pause that we are used to.

Although it wasn’t shot in Kenya, this is a Kenyan artiste and his efforts have been acknowledged. Way to go Constant.
