Another Win For Mama Africa As Miss World Is Crowned From Africa (Photos+Video)
Last night we all geared up for the Miss world Finals held at ExCeL exhibition centre in London. For those who could not make it to the venue we had to do with watching it on television with an estimated billion other viewers.
The winner this year was crowned from South Africa, a 22-year-old named Rolene Strauss. Rolene is the fourth Miss World crowned from Africa and the third from South Africa.

First Miss world from South Africa was crowned in 1958 and she was called Penelope Anne Coelen, in 1974 Anneline Kriel from the same country was also named Miss World. The milestone for Africa was however in 2001 when a black African from Nigeria named Agbani Darego was crowned Miss World in 2001.
Anyhow, meet the current Miss World who took the crown from 2013 title holder, Meagan Young

Miss Hungary, Edina Kulcsar, was named the runner-up while Miss United States, Elizabeth Safrit, was the 2nd runner-up in the event contested by women from 121 countries including Kenya.
