In an interview she had with Ghafla!,Avril reveals her boyfriend was referred to her when he wanted to do a bit of venture capitalism in Kenyan entertainment industry. The two had sensible conversation for a month and soon afterwards, they mixed business with pleasure.

Asked why she didn’t reveal her man to the public, the singer said her boyfriend doesn’t like limelight, she too likes to keep her personal life private. “I am not about showing up my family, I love being Nyambura. My relationship has always been under the radar” Avril explained.
