Bomb Scare At Kenyatta University Sends Students Jumping From a 5-Storey Library (Photos)

Yesterday, KU students jumped for their dear lives after a false terror alarm was sounded.

A misunderstanding between a student and security officers at KU saw a commotion that jeopardized the lives of their students that had thronged their ultra-modern library.

According to an eye witness, the stampede was caused when a student failed to produce his varsity ID while trying to access the library. Security guards mistook him for a terrorist forcing himself to the library.

Upon seeing the fuss between the student and the guards, some students panicked and started the commotion.

Below are photos and the memo KUSA issued after the incident:

KENYATTA UNIVERSITY STUDENTS’ ASSOCIATION.

(K.U.S.A)

OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY GENERAL.

From: Secretary General.

To: All Students.

Dated: 31/3/15.

RE: COMMOTION IN THE POST MODERN LIBRARY.

This is to assure comrades that PML is safe for use as from 6:30p.m.The commotion was as a result of a misunderstanding between a Student and a Security officer. The noise from the push and pull caused panic in the students who were busy reading.

We are lucky that the stampede has not caused serious casualties. Those who left their property is safely kept by the library security for collection.

Regards;

Stephen Mwadime.
