Breaking: Standard Newspaper Journalist Passes On

The journalism fraternity in Kenya has been hit hard with death after Kenyans woke up to the disturbing news of the passing on of Standard Newspaper writer, Naftali Makori.

The passing on of Makori is one of the most untimely demises to hit the journalism industry in Kenya as his close confidants say they never saw it coming.

Naftali who writes for the Standard Newspaper from Kisumu has been complaining of bad health for a while and now it is likely that he succumbed to the same.

A close friend, who is also a journalist, to the late has revealed to Ghafla Kenya that Naftali Makori has been silently fighting a liver infection.

He, however, chose to keep it private for a long time, letting only his close confidants know what he was going through.

Naftali worked as a correspondent for the Standard from Nyamira County before he was transferred to Kisumu.
