Bukusu Darling, Timothy Khamala Rescues His Wife, Sarika Patel, After She Was ‘Kidnapped’ By Her Family

Sarika Patel, the Asian woman who made news when she married Timothy Khamala, a Bukusu man who worked at her father’s premises, was kidnapped by her family when she had gone to seek medication in a hospital in Webuye but rescued later by her loving husband.

Khamala told The Nairobian that Sarika was not feeling well and had gone to seek medication in a hospital in Webuye but failed to come back.

When Khamala tried to reach her through the phone, her phone was switched off. This threw him into panic and he immediately set off to look for his wife. Khamala went from place to place asking if anyone had seen her but the final answer came from his area chief who informed him that Sarika had been transferred to Nairobi by her parents for specialised treatment.

He tried to reach her through her phone for two days but it was switched off. Finally when he hear from her, she whispered in the phone and told him she was held up in her parents’ house in Westlands< Nairobi and pleaded him to try and rescue her.

Khamala immediately sought help through a facebook group, County411, a group that compromises professionals from Western Kenya because he had no money to travel to Nairobi.

Luckily help came his way and he managed to travel to Nairobi accompanied by Dr Anthony Walela and other professionals who sought dialogue with Sarika’s family and managed to rescue her.
