“Call Me Later Today and We Hook Up” Grieving One F.M Presenter Writes To the Late Nana Gichuru
Young, vibrant and ambitious, Nana Gichuru certainly had the world at her feet before that fateful Tuesday when her BMW rammed into a truck.
And her death has come as a shock to many Kenyan movie goers who have watched her in action in ‘Noose Of Gold’ and ‘How To Find A Husband’ .Her close friends and family however have taken the greatest hit with an emotional Neomi Ng’ang’a posting this poignant message:
Nana Gichuru, I just don’t know where and how to start. I am still shocked and in total disbelief that you are no more. I still feel like you are around. So many memories going through my mind right now. I remember we first met 6 years ago during the shoot of ‘Noose Of Gold’ and we bonded like sisters from the same mother’s womb. Since then, our lives have been a roller coaster. From ‘Sumu La Penzi’ to ‘Demigods’ to parties to adventures to hearty laughs, to boy talk.
I still remember when you offered me a chance to be one of your bridesmaid. I was excited and shocked at the same time because you had many friends to choose from but you chose me to celebrate the start of a new journey with you. Did you I ever tell you that it was my first time being a bridesmaid? Yes, it was. You looked dashing and glamorous in that gown. The fact that you chose to do your own make-up that day really stood out for me. You were such a darling and a queen full of life.

Your sense of humor was always enticing and that’s why you made such a good actress, musician, writer, photographer, and a loving and caring wife. I don’t want to say goodbye yet…. Noooo.. It’s still not yet real to me. Just wish someone would wake me up from this dream. As a matter of fact, I know that you’ll call me later today and we hook up. #Sector!!!!
